Community Guidelines
Last updated: September 30, 2026
Granary works because neighbors trust each other. These guidelines keep it that way. Violations may result in warnings, listing removal, or account suspension.
Be a good neighbor
- Offers and requests are equals. No charity framing, no pity, no "needy" language. Everyone gives, everyone receives.
- Be reliable. If you claim something, show up. If plans change, cancel promptly so it can go to someone else.
- Be honest. Describe items accurately. Don't claim things you don't need just to stockpile.
- Be kind. No harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or creepy behavior. Ever.
What's not allowed
- Selling, bartering, or asking for money — Granary is free sharing only
- Listing perishables, homemade food, alcohol, medication, or anything unsafe or illegal
- Fake accounts, claim manipulation, or gaming the system
- Harassment, threats, or inappropriate messages
- Sharing someone else's address or personal information
- Spam or commercial promotion
Safety
- Meet in public places when possible, or bring someone with you
- Your exact address is hidden until you accept a claim — keep it that way
- Report anything that feels wrong: granary.usa@gmail.com
Enforcement
We review reports and take action — from warnings to permanent bans. Serious violations (threats, scams, safety issues) result in immediate removal. If you believe an action was taken in error, email us and we'll take another look.
